Tense

★ Tense শদ্বের বাংলা অর্থ কাল। কোন কার্য সম্পাদনের সময় বা কালে Tense বলে।
Tense প্রধানত তিন প্রকার যথা:- (1) Present Tense (2) Past Tense (3) Future Tense.

                                     Present Tense (বর্তমান কাল): 
Verb এর কাজ যখন বর্তমান সময়কে নির্দেশ করে তখন তাকে Present Tense বলে।
 যেমন: The boy is playing football.

                                        Past Tense (অতীত কাল):
Verb এর কাজ যখন অতীত সময়কে নির্দেশ করে তখন তাকে Present Tense বলে।
 যেমন: The boy was playing football.

                                       Future Tense (ভবিষ্যৎ কাল):
Verb এর কাজ যখন ভবিষ্যৎ সময়কে নির্দেশ করে তখন তাকে Future Tense বলে।
 যেমন: The boy will be playing footbal. 

সকল Tence এর গঠনসমূহ:-
★ (1) Indefinite Tense:
(i) Present→ Sub+ V1+obj. (এখানে কোনো সাহায্যেকারী verb নেই।)
(ii) Past→ Sub+ v1+ obj. (এখানে কোনো সাহায্যেকারী verb নেই।)
 (iii) Future Tense→ Sub+ Shall/will+ V1+obj

★ (2) Continuous Tense:
(i) Present Tense→ Sub+ am/is/are + V1+ ing+ obj
 (ii) Past Tense→ Sub+ was/were + V1+ obj
 (iii) Future Tense→ Sub + Shall be/will be + V1+ ing + obj

 ★ (3) Perfect Tense:
 (i) Present→ Sub+ have/has+ V3+ obj
 (ii) Past→ Sub+ had+ V3+ obj
 (iii) Future→ Sub+ Shall have/will have + V3+ obj

★ (4) Perfect Continuous Tense: 
(i) Present→ Sub+ have been+ has been+ V1+ ing+ obj
 (ii) Past→ Sub+ had been+ V1+ ing+ obj
(iii) Future→ Sub+ shall have been+ will have been+ V1+ ing+ obj

Rules: (1) Negative অথবা Intorrgative করতে হলে Negative এর ক্ষেত্রে সাহায্যকারী Verb এর পরে Not বসে এবং Intorrgative এর ক্ষেত্রে সাহায্যকারী Verb Subject এর আগে বসে।
যেমন: I am going to school. Nega.
I am not going to school. Intor.
 Am I going to school.

 Rules: (2) সাহায্যকারী Verb বিহীন present ও past indefinite কে negative/intorrgative করতে হলে present tense এর ক্ষেত্রে do/does এবং past tense এর ক্ষেত্রে did কে সাহায্যকারী হিসেবে ব্যবহার করতে হবে। 

Rules: (3) Do/Does verb এর সাথে s বা es থাকলে does বসে এবং does বসলে verb এর s বা es থাকে না। did কে সাহায্যকারী হিসেবে ব্যবহার করলে মূল verb এর present from হয়।
যেমন: He reads a book.
Nega: He does not read a book.
Intor: Does he read a book.

 * Did এর ব্যবহার: He went to market.
Nega: He did not go to market.
Intor: Did he go to market.
